The Prisons of Life
Psalm 142:4-7

Every person is in a place in life that we really don’t want to be. It is in these places (prisons) that God teaches us and reaches out to us to draw us unto Him.

The prison of –

I- Preservation, Jonah 1:17, 2:1, 2:10
1- from desertion, 1:3
2- from destruction, 1:12

II- Purification, Judges 16:21-22, 28
1- for reflection, v 22; time and solitude
2- for reasoning, v 28; to remember and call

III- Persuasion, Matthew 11:2-6
1- to review, “are you?”
2- to renew

IV- Prophecy, Jeremiah 32:1-3
1- for persecution to make us strong, v 1-3
2- for proof to make us steadfast, v 6-8

V- Promotion, Genesis 39:20-23
1- to conform us by mercy, v 21
2- to comfort us by His help, v 23

VI- Power, Acts 12:3-5
1- for courage, v 11
2- for confidence, v 17

VII- Praise, Acts 16:22-25
1- to make us winners, v 25; Philippians. 4:11
2- to make us witnesses, v 29-30
